An FIM World Championship is held every year, but the pinnacle of the sport is the DAKAR RALLY, which now takes place in January in Saudi Arabia. Drivers cover nearly 10,000km during two weeks, crossing grounds as diverse as sand dunes, river beds and fast rocky tracks.
